Position: Shopper Insights Manager,Travel Retail China
Reports to : Director, SI&CS, Travel Retail Asia Pacific

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Work with SI & CS director to build TR shopper insight and category strategy for CTC (Chinese travelling consumers) as input for brand strategies in TR NY / APAC and the Regions.
? Lead initiatives of bringing insight to actions to drive business and category development.
? Help to build China TR team’s digital capability and support TR social media strategy targeting CTC.
? Lead CTC trend tracking, build and maintain relationship with relevant organizations/ agencies to understand CTC future destinations and other forward looking trend update.
? Striving to develop consumer/shopper insights being a competitive advantage for the company.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
? Decision Making – Indicate type of decisions typically made and the overall impact of those decisions.
? Problem Solving – Indicate the nature of problems regularly encountered and the complexity of the solutions.
? Independence of Action and Accountability – Indicate the general degree of independence which may range from closely monitored to setting direction.
? Budget Responsibility – Indicate degree of financial accountability. Include actual amount of operating budget and/or cost savings. Include net sales plan responsibility, if applicable.
? Leadership – Indicate management responsibility including planning for the department’s future needs, operations, hiring, performance management, salary decisions, talent planning, etc. (i.e., one team, multiple teams, etc.).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Build TR shopper insight and category strategy for CTC as input for brand strategies in TR NY / APAC and the Regions.

Deliverables include:
? Strengthen understanding and sharing of CTC insights, by both leveraging existing data and research as well as by planning and executing new CTC research projects.
? Utilize field visits to constantly identify insights and improvement areas for brands, so as to provide meaningful input for the brand teams’ action, and as a team, becoming more shopper centric.
? Integrating insights into ongoing brand initiatives including brand communication/ message, VM, digital/ social media strategy.
? Developing a strong interfaces with the TR APAC and TR NY stakeholders to inject consumer/shopper insights in decision making processes.

Lead initiatives of bringing insights to actions to drive business and category development.

Deliverables include:
? Engage with our key retailers (Sunrise and CDFG) in China to establish strong partnerships through research sharing and joint category plans.
? Use TR shopper and category insight to drive high ROI initiative / test and learn, and thrive for excellence in execution by working closely with retailers, brand teams, VM team and digital team.
? Measure the results of such initiatives to build learnings and make recommendation for roll out.

Lead CTC trend tracking.

Deliverables include:
? Identify and build relationship with relevant organizations/ agencies to understand CTC future destinations and other forward looking trend update.
? Ensure high quality deliverable by agency and good input for business decision.
