Calix Systems Test team is Recruiting a Systems Test Engineer to responsible for Manual and Automated Test Development as associated with Calix Access Network product testing with a primary focus on contributing to the testing and validation of Wi-Fi products. Be able to take a technical leadership role in the development, execution and analysis of Wi-Fi device testing. Work with various internal groups (i.e., Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer support, Finance, Marketing and Sales) to drive product test related activities.

Responsibilities:
The ability to function in an Agile development environment, and work closely with both software and hardware development. The ability to execute various manual and automated Wi-Fi related testing. The ability to analyze and interpret test results as well as identify defects with hardware and software. Also, the ability to accurately communicate test results, identified defects, and steps to reproduce to development teams.

Candidate should be able to:
?Independently set day to day work priorities while working to achieve the end goals of the team and organization in a dynamic fast paced work environment
?Perform testing across multiple test beds often simultaneously
?Able to quickly troubleshoot issues to isolate failures, and efficiently communicate detail to development for issue resolution
?Provide technical training/mentorship as needed
?Create Automation as needed for testing efforts and ongoing benchmark analysis
?Able to work on the Calix family of Wi-Fi products, as well as third party devices
?Continuous effort on reviewing and improving performance test processes and efficiencies
?Professionally interact with cross functional counterparts and team members to develop the necessary test plans and test criteria for assigned test responsibilities
?Work directly with development and customer service in the resolution of defects. This may include periodic on-site activities involving defect reproduction and isolation, as well as communication with teams in the US and China
?Ability to design and develop Wi-Fi test bed environments with little supervision
?Ability to review, understand, and create test cases from defined systems requirements
?Contribute to the development and enhancement of Continuous Integration Test environments
?Ability to quickly learn and use associated test tools and systems used during the course of test activities
?Support and provide input to overall test strategies and test environments including test equipment analysis and selection
?Create test reports and documents, as required, to be used in communication of test projects or product functionality as they relate to product performance and features.

Qualifications:
BSCS, BSSE, BSEE or equivalent.
?2-4 years of experience in system and product testing and test case development
?Knowledge of Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards and operation
?Experience with Linux and Python, ability to script in Python or Robot Framework a plus.
?Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with associated technical knowledge in appropriate areas
?Must be self-starter willing to work in fast paced environments
?Experience with shell script writing
?Strong personal computer application usage skills are required
?Must be well organized and able to handle multiple activities or projects concurrently, while keeping focus on project timelines

Preferred Qualification:
?Extensive understanding of Wi-Fi technology with demonstrated experience in testing Wi-Fi Residential Gateway Devices.
?Understanding of the IEEE802.11 standards as a whole, with an emphasis on the most current standard 802.11ac
?Preferred experience with Python based Automation Development
?Experience with industry standard Wi-Fi test equipment, including IxVeriwave, IxChariot, OctoScope OctoBoxes, AirPcap, Channel Emulators, and Site Scan Tools or similar Wi-Fi test equipment
