Job Description This position will lead the FPS implementation in Asia Pacific  (China)
Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position
Number of subordinates – indirect reporting of plant FPS coaches – 4 -5 The level of innovation required from this position. Support development of Global Standards for Ford Production Systems Work with Director of Manufacturing / Plant Management to gain alignment and drive implementation plans Periodic coaching to plants including JV for using FPS processes and tools to improve and sustain business results Work with Plants to identify opportunities in Key Unifying Processes / Operating System implementation – capability and adherence and work with them to close the gaps Preach Continuous Improvement philosophy during coaching visits to the plants Work with AP FPS Manager on strategies and development of longer term vision Liaise with other stakeholders (skill team members) to understand standards / processes, issues, and concerns and to provide alternate approaches or view points and gain consensus on FPS Strategies. Facilitate various Executive meetings by preparing the documents libraries, agendas, guest speakers and staff materials and hosting various meetings (including: Transformation Council, Production Council, AP Regional Council) Needs to translate strategy to operational/ cultural application at plant level. Responsible to articulate, evolve, implement, and confirm the lean strategies working with DoM’s, Skill teams and FPS Managers – must align with Global and Regional strategies Engages externally as appropriate to maintain and improve skills and knowledge Lead  Regional Workshops / Assignments / Training Participate in Global Strategy meetings.
Requirement
Education Qualification	Engineering related degree, Lean Manufacturing Specialist
No. of Years of Experience	Minimum of 5 years Lean Manufacturing, with extensive production / Management Experience
Professional Exposure (Technical Skills)	Production related experience; implementation of Ford Production System. Proficient in excel, PowerPoint, Word and other computer systems. Fluent in English.
Preferred Experience	Direct Production & Supervisory skills highly regarded.
Functional Skills	Project management, ability to work independently without supervision.
Behavioural Skills	Strong leadership and facilitation skills required. Strong Communicator
Special Knowledge/Skills  Required	Working knowledge of Operating Systems and Key Unifying Processes Highly proficient in Chinese language and should possess good understanding of Chinese culture
Any Others	Candidate must be prepared to travel both short term and long term to support plants within AP
