JOB OBJECTIVES:

He/She provides in house Conceptual Process Engineering expertise using simulation softwares in support to the preparation of PDP (Process Design Package) and /or pre FEED and FEED phases in project execution .

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.He/she will be responsible for using softwares to simulate continuous and batch process to generate heat and mass balance sheets which will be as one of important project delivery and basis for following engineering practice.
2.Be responsible upon needs to develop 1rst draft set of PFDs for required processes
3.Work with process owner/licensor and Lead process for PFD developments, operation case study
4.He/She will get help from process owner (licensor), other exert in BASF ( GTE/GCP) , Lead process for Key equipment design /calculation when doing the simulation.
5.Support lead process and project by using simulation software to do energy and fluid dynamic calculation for various process units ( eg Heat exchanger, distillation, pumps, vaporization, separation etc.)
6.Maintain physical property database, be able to use simulation software to do physical property analysis and estimation.
7.Adoption of process design to local conditions
8.Carry out "pinch point" calculation to optimize plant wide side heat transferring, Save energy cost for new process design
9.Only upon request if necessary , He/She might provide technical support operations on bottleneck management and/or de-bottlenecking processes, by using sensitive analysis or if possible to use economic simulation to define the best point for equipment and process design with consideration of cost, capacity and operation flexibility.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master or higher degree in chemical related processing /engineering
2. Highly familiar with process simulation , at least 1 to 2 years experience ( frequent user ) in process simulation , mandatory . Working experiences in simulation for at least 1 to 2 years within chemical and petrochemical industry and to support project execution would be an advantage
3. Open minded active, creative team-player and self-motivated.
4. Skilled in relevant software and tools.
5. Proficient spoken and written English and Chinese (mandarin) skills
