Territory Technical Manager
Contribute to the revenue objectives of the channel within area.
Explain, demonstrate and prove the value of products to our partners/clients through technical expertise.
Transfer skills by sharing technical knowledge internally and/or to partners.
Role Description :
Technical support:
Advise partners/Sales Reps on technical solution, leveraging deep solution/brand expertise and industry process knowledge with the help of the industry/brand team;
Provide leadership and change management recommendations to partners/clients based on in-depth understanding of client business processes, their system environments & knowledge of product Portfolio & Solutions;
Deliver demonstrations to support and articulate the solution/brand value proposal;
Contribute to opportunity identification. Ensure quality of deliveries, and domain expertise provided to the partner/sales team.
Perform the technical win plan.
Contribute to customer satisfaction, by supporting the support team for strategic customers or solutions, particularly when there is no customer value experience.
Help develop and answer RFP’s
Skills transfer:
Contribute to skills transfer by sharing personal knowledge with team and by delivering technical or business presentations to the organization;
Define & Monitor Partner's skills assessment & objectives in context of global Partner strategy;
Support & Coach Partner on pre/post-sales activities to finalize on-boarding of new offers selected to get the partner autonomous on these activities;
Animate and expand communities through presentations, articles, technical publications and seminars
BT/BRANDS ONLY:
Lead technical sales engagement as Opportunity Tech sales Leader (OTL) in line with the LEVERAGE process and using consultative selling approach.
Conduct technical workshops in order to map the customers’ “AS IS” and “To be” business process to reveal the value.
VS ONLY
Execute & monitor the partner's enablement and certification plan to ensure respect of on-boarding targets (technical trainings, partner technical skills assessments, certification, animate the communities, Support of the Online Tools)
Support marketing & partner recruitment activities with technical presentations
Develop and sustain Partner Excellence Industry & Brands skills (self-training + skill transfer to Partner Excellence people )
Collaborate to Go To Market Plan definition, execution and feedback monitoring, with HQ Partner Excellence team (connection with & feedback to Industry & Brands organizations)
PC ONLY:
Additional support responsibilities include close work with the local Major Account’s team, Product Marketing, and Development groups as well as national trade show and user group support.
Serve as primary technical liaison to corporate covering the geographical area.
Background :
Strong knowledge of the MCAD/FEA/PDM industry coupled with a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 to 7 years mechanical design experience.
Experience in providing technical sales support for products competitive to software is a big plus.
