Overall objectives

- This position supports the existing environment team in China, working as part of a wider multi disciplinary team. The role will be to work closely with internal and external clients on all aspects of our environment projects delivering high quality products on time and on budget.
- This position promotes a culture of ‘Safety First’, and ensures H&S Regulations and internal policies are adhered to in day-to-day work; working in a safe manner and challenging co-workers, including non ARCADIS staff, if actions appear unsafe.
- On the job technical training will be provided but graduate level knowledge of key technical services (such as contaminated land, remediation, environmental science, waste water management, etc) will be an advantage.
- This role would suit an enthusiastic and team orientated graduate, who is interested in growing a career in a challenging and innovative working environment, who is able to demonstrate a “can-do” attitude approach to task in hand and who works to contribute to a thriving team across our offices.

Key Responsibilities

- Gaining experience and proficiency in ARCADIS systems and procedures and developing a skills and knowledge base. This will include keeping up to date with relevant Environmental Legislation, Policy and Guidance etc;
- Becoming familiar with ARCADIS’ safety procedures to promote a culture of Safety First and ensuring H&S issues are adhered to in your day to day role;
- Analysing data effectively and undertaking desk-based studies and site visits and site-based works, when required;
- Phase I and Phase II Assessments; including undertaking site investigations, soil and rock logging, soil and groundwater sampling and in situ testing;
- Assisting in the delivery of project documents to the high standard ARCADIS requires in accordance with project timescales and budget, client requirements as well as national standards and codes of practice and supporting senior colleagues as and when required.

Qualifications

- A good team player with the ability to communicate at all levels in English and Chinese
- A positive attitude towards Health & Safety
- Flexibility in working hours
- A dedicated member of staff who is engaged with ARCADIS Asia
- Overview of Contaminated Land Risk Assessment and Remediation
- Willing to travel (~35%) in China and abroad, and to undertake site-based work
- Bachelor degree in an Environmental Science or Engineering (or similar subject)
- Computer skills: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Internet Explorer 举报 分享
