Human Resources (HR)

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s People strategy, facilitating talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. Ensuring talent practices support relevant stakeholders and reflect HSBC values, the function reviews the people implications of business plans while delivering policies, projects, processes and activities in support of business objectives.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• Establishes the governance and working groups for the country, including reporting and status tracking, escalation and on-boarding of new resources

• Provides the country level resources with their implementation and change activities, based on content and plan details provided to them by the Regional C&I team and other Workstreams (as appropriate)

• Provides country level insight, impact assessments, localizations and requirements, language and cultural requirements to ensure the delivery activities meet the needs of the locality

• Escalates any country specific change requests to the implementation and change activities

• Tracks activities against their country level plans which will be in line with the overall Implementation and Change plans and reports back to the Regional C&I Lead on status, including the collection and escalation of all country level issues and risks

• Conscientiously tracks progress of mitigating actions for risks/issues/ dependencies to abolish or minimize impact on programme outcome and highlights any scope change risks/issues/ dependencies as they arise

• Manages the country C&I network of resources, following up where activities are not being met or completed

• Represents their country network to the Regional C&I Lead and any programme Workstream who require input from their countries

• Maintains project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change request and all impacts are considered

• Ensure project resources receive any necessary training and support, and all working methods are inline with the Global Change Delivery Business Transformation Framework (BTF)

• Conscientiously tracks progress of mitigating actions for risks/issues/ dependencies to abolish or minimize impact on programme outcome and highlights any scope change risks/issues/ dependencies as they arise

• The Country C&I Lead will not have formal line management tasks or direct reports however will have responsibility for leading and directing their Country C&I network to ensure successful delivery

• Country C&I Lead will manage content and direction from multiple streams, handling activities that will cut across the needs of the Implementation, Change, Communications and Training teams – and in some cases the needs of the other Workstreams

• Country C&I Lead will deliver against the bigger Implementation plan, understanding the importance of raising and mitigating risks and issues where they are identified or escalated.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Requires strong stakeholder management skills in order to continually drive delivery and deployment of readiness activities via the Country C&I network

• Has an end user focus, considering the needs of the client/users and their overall experience

• Understands the principles of Change Management and the impact on the wider business and end users

• Has experience of supporting delivery into complex, large and matrix environments, and understands that locality needs can be wide and varying

• Advantageous: experience in either HR system deployments or self-service tools or models

• Fluency in English is mandatory and the ability to speak Mandarin is desirable

• This is a fixed term contract position lasting till June 2018
