Responsibilities:
1. Lead plant purchasing team for cross regions or big volume new project sourcing activity.
2. Support plant purchasing team for local new project sourcing activity.
3. Lead oversea buyers for global project sourcing activity.
4. Participant new project review with global application team.
5. Communication of Program information and supplier performance to the Line Organization and Program Management Group.
6. Steer and follow-up with the Line Organization to reach Quality, Cost and Delivery demands in respective projects.
7. Participate in the development of working methods and Continuous Improvement projects.
8. Ensure that Purchasing Program Targets are met and defined.
9. Plan, inform and implement project requirements together with Managers within Purchasing, Quality and Logistics.
10. Conduct reviews to ensure that Program deliverables are met.
11. Escalate issues and roadblocks when needed.
12. Co-ordinate and report sourcing activities with Line Purchasing for Program related issues.
13. Ensure that Purchasing deliverables are reported at the Program Gate Reviews.
Qualifications:
1. University degree and/or above, preferably in Business Administration Degree or Engineering/Mechanics.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience of purchasing or purchasing project management related roles within the automotive industry.
3. Good knowledge about VPDS (deliverables, processes and organization) or similar vehicle development system.
4. Fluent English, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Self-motivated, team player, and capable of working under stress.
