Role Summary/Purpose
The Social Media Manager will implement the company’s Social Media strategy for corporate brand reputation, support business and marketing goals, and execute it with measurable ROI. Administration includes content strategy, develop brand awareness, and generate inbound traffic and fans/followers. The Social Media manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing the Company’s content strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Implement the social media strategies
Solid Content Strategy: Perform a “Brand Discovery” for the brand management in a creative and Social way. Outlines what it is about GE Healthcare’s business that makes it unique, includes core values and beliefs.
Promotion Strategy: Continually grow our fan base (with/without the third party partners, vendors) not only among the general public, but also the professional community via regular and project campaigns with measureable ROI.
Engagement Strategy: Listen, respond, ask questions and engage with our audience/fans. He/she must have knowledge and/or experience of the corporate brand, business, and products/solutions to respond correctly.
Measure & Analyze to establish ROI: Measure results on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Have results tie back to the objectives and strategies planned. Factor in your time, effort and budget to determine if the campaign efforts succeeded.
Advocate the social media trends and set up role model internally and externally.
Develop and execute online issue and crisis strategy to keep the company safe.
2. Drive social media campaigns to support business growth
Set the social media top agenda by tightly aligning with business priorities.
Work with PR managers and modality team/product marketing counterparts to tell product/solution stories and enhance the technology leadership in a Social way.
Drive key tradeshow campaigns including CMEF, HOSPEQ, ChinaMed, RSNA, etc. to reinforce the technology leadership and China commitment.
3. Oversee social media landscape and cross-team collaboration
Collaborate with GE China and global communications teams to roll out cross-team campaigns.
Strengthen the global exposure of China by leveraging effective channels and platforms.
Enhance the unified interface of social media as the key focal point.
Essential Duties
Manage Social Media campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
Curate relevant content to reach the ideal external stakeholders.
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way.
Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
Design, create and manage promotions and Social brand campaigns.
Compile report for management showing results (ROI).
Become an advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Develop a strategy and implement a proactive process for capturing audience online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.
Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
Supervise and manage the social media and content production vendors and third party partners to secure the qualified and timely deliverables.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor and above degree in communications, journalism, digital/new media, digital marketing, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years solid digital/new media experience in an in-house corporate or marketing communications department or agency.
A creative, strategic thinker but pragmatic and hands-on in execution; strong planning and priority setting skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective interpersonal / communications skills including excellent Chinese writing skills and a good command of English, both spoken and written.
Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media.
Proficient in content theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (wehcat, weibo, youku, LinkIn etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
Proven experiences in managing agencies and project teams; Ability to identify and organize resources.
Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
