SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Finance Manager is to support the financial requirements of China, while taking direction from the Asia Finance Director. This role will work closely with the China General Manager, Service Manager, Regional Service Director and segment GM’s.

The position has responsibility to lead team through month end, year end and annual budgeting. Core responsibilities include financial planning, financial record-keeping/compliance, financial reporting, and the management of financial risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

？ Work with senior teams to grow the businesses formulating strategies and plans
？ Lead and develop finance teams
？ Lead and manage the budgeting/estimating process
？ Cash management
？ Compliance activities related to Statutory Audits & filings, Account reconciliations
？ Formulation of annual budgets and targets
？ Overall control of financial transactions & accountancy matters, including audit systems
？ Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly updates
？ Presentation of annual accounts with recommendations
？ Review of accounts and investigation of variances then setting recovery plans
？ Treasury matters
？ Capital expenditure – evaluation and preparation of submissions
？ Insurance/ risk management
？ Setting annual cost rates and prices for customers
？ Involvement in commercial negotiations with customers
？ Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met for region
？ Compliance: ensure financial matters are in accordance with legislation and ethical accounting practices
？ Participate in financial strategic planning

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

？ Qualified candidates will work as a business partner and must possess exceptional analytical, financial, commercial and communication skills, and be capable of providing sound, practical advice in response to complex and rapidly changing conditions, and be able to make a positive contribution to a very collegial working environment.
？ Ability to work in a self-sufficient manner under the overall authority of the Asia Finance Director and General Manager, and will need to work collaboratively with other team members across disciplines
？ Ability to handle multiple, competing projects concurrently with a results-oriented focus.
？ Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and best practice, computer software for accounting, financial statements and their preparation, payroll reporting and systems
？ Excellent leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding, and problem-solving skills
？ A skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability
？ An accomplished manager of time and stress, and effective at delegation
？ Must be computer proficient, including specialised software
？ Remain up to date of all applicable government legislation and policy and implement any new legal requirements
？ Ability to travel as needed


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Accountancy qualification plus a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
