Major Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate through validation testing that all vehicle functions and diagnostic features meet specified requirements;
• Provide on-site manufacturing plant support to conduct Function validation/signoff for vehicle-level breadboards and prototype vehicles;
• Create and update the Software BOM for breadboards and prototype builds;
• Update breadboards and prototype vehicles to required software level according to relevant Software BOM as required;
• Report status of vehicle software in weekly software change control meeting;
• Support development, implementation, and signoff of a complete set of ECU diagnostic tests and Current-Based-Tests for manufacturing test equipment;
• Utilize industry-standard Network Analysis and Diagnostic Tools to analyze vehicle components and manufacturing test equipment;
• Provide on-site manufacturing plant launch support to resolve electrical issues related to Vehicle -Functions, -Networks, -Diagnostics, -Software;
• Report and Champion resolution of issues identified during verification/validation;
• Lead daily Electrical / Electronic Integration meeting to facilitate communication between Component Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers;
• Coordinate all work on-site with Ford of Europe, Ford North America, Ford South America, and Joint-Venture-Partner engineers;
• Deliver all work products, on-time and with quality, consistent with program timing and Electrical/Electronic Department project delivery plans.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related major;
• Preferred 2 years engineering experience in area of Vehicle Diagnostics, Function Validation, Software, Networking;
• Good knowledge of Vehicle Network Technology, such as CAN and LIN;
• Hands-on experience with Network Analysis Tools, such as CANalyzer or similar;
• Extended travel to Nanchang required, may require limited short trips to Chongqing;
• Practical experience with the Vehicle Development Process, from requirements gathering through to production launch and aftermarket support;
• Strong Project Management/Coordination skills and Analytical/Troubleshooting skills;
• Good communication skills, including English language (written and oral);
• Familiar with problem solving methods such as Control plan and 8D (or similar).
