Job Title: Senior/HR Generalist
Contract Type: Regular, full-time
Job Location: Shanghai, China
Travel Expectations: 0%-20%
Position Summary:
This opening will be accountable for the leadership and management of HR Operation, from operational HR processes through to primary responsibility for managing and leading complex Employee Relations cases, up to and including: all on-board and exit processes; employees data-consolidation; employees’ inquiry handling to supporting the wider HR and business communities.
The role requires a high level of matrix working across Merkle global.
Position Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership through communication, coaching and guidance (particularly around HR daily operational processes) and share responsibility with other Team Leaders for handling complex employee relations cases with all levels of line management;
· Leading in HR operational process improvement initiatives as required, providing input and execution about core HR operational processes related to Post-Recruiting, ER, C&B and Employee data upgrading;
· As the lead for employee relations cases, managing the employee and manager interface and ensures understanding, Personal File filing in compliance with China Laws and satisfaction with HR Policies and processes mitigating risk of employee dissatisfaction;
· Delivering accurate and timely HR service in a fast moving, pressurized environment to meet tight and demanding deadlines;
· Any other accountabilities required by HR Director;
· To be proactive in responding to customer needs and make proposals on solutions that best fit the customer needs and the business;
· Expected to seek solutions and solve problems that occur on a day to day basis, and in relation to specific projects;
· Responsible for driving improvements to all HR operational processes end to end (working with other parts of HR as required), with a focus on reducing cycle times, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction;
· Manage relationships with HR Specialist Service providers to ensure to best utilize the provision and customers receive appropriate level of service and support;
· Establish appropriate networks across Merkle and participate in key initiatives impacting HR Operational activity;
· Collaborate in projects including cross functional teams (acting as HR expert) ensuring company policy, legal and other regulatory requirements are considered;
· Operating in an environment of significant change with responsibility to guide and lead people solutions within that environment;
· Vendor management experience
Position Qualifications:
· College or university graduates
· 3-5 years HR experience, preferred HR Generalist experience with MNCs

· Strong process orientation and process improvement skills.
· HR functional knowledge including Organization Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits

· Demonstrated professional written and verbal English communication skills
· Ability to deliver results that add business benefit under own initiative and to work independently to achieve goals
