responsibilities
- Propose acoustic design for new handsets working in close relation with other hardware and software teams
- In charge of the audio and accoustic quality of wired and wireless terminals
- In charge of the definition and evaluation of audio functions (Handsfree,..audio processing in general)
- Guaranty the technical soundness of the internal and external developments,
- Terminal CPUs prestudies in relation with architecture team and other HW competencies
- Ensure the consistency of the external and internal designs
- Ensure technology watch and competition analysis at IP
- Ensure specific components and technology watch (IP Chipsets,¡¬)
- In charge of the support and sustaining of terminals in his area of competence
- Guaranty the technical soundness of the developments, including parts management and qualification
- Manage the implementation of the design externally
- Execute needed acceptance tests and certifications
- Management and monitoring of all technical files of wired and wireless
- Management and monitoring change and evolution process of the files of wired and wireless
- Control the application dates in relation with manufacturing and purchasing

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Mandatory
o Strong knowledge of hardware development methodologies and in particular electronic design
o Strong experience in audio and acoustics. This includes not only electronic aspects but also related software fields (codec, compression…),
o Strong experience in audio components, including transductors,
o Mechanical constraints knowledge
o Strong knowledge in standards (ETSI, TIA, FCC, IUT) including audio measurements standards
o Strong experience in IP or digital wired sets
o Good knowledge in digital and analog electronic design
o Good knowledge of digital electronic and transmission test equipments
o English proficiency in reading, writing and speaking
- Nice to have
o General knowledge in Enterprise market
o Project management experience

EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years experience in audio development, including all steps such as prestudies, development, certification and management, this in the handset industry. Experience in working with external suppliers.
