Objectives:

Coordinate to set up and manage the centralized contract management system in China.

Increase efficiency and effectiveness of contract management and ensure the compliance with enterprise documentation and archive requirements

Main Tasks:

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and consultants to structure, set up and update centralized contract management systems (electronic and hard copy) for BASF’s wholly and majority owned subsidiaries in China;


• Manage and oversee the internal review and approval process for BASF contracts, maintain corporate files (electronic and hard copy) of original, executed non-standard contracts, group contracts, templates, and certain standard contracts as may be requested by the owner, responsible counsels or originator;


• Develop and manage the process, and coordinate with designated persons of  respective legal entities, to ensure all contracts within the scope of the contract management system of each legal entity being collected and entered into BASF’s Contract Management Database timely, and are kept current at all times;

• Coordinate with Regional Legal on all aspects regarding BASF’s Group Contract Management System;


• Responsible for training all the business/functional units on China contracts management system and any new or uprated processes associated with such system;


• Serve as a member of BASF Legal, and report to General Counsel, BASF China.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or Arts (four years)


• Working Experience: 7+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or other relevant corporate department/law firm; contract management or document achieving experience is preferable


• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, organization and planning skills;


• Must have ability to work well in a team environment, meet deadlines under pressure, have pleasant and highly responsible work attitude;


• Must handle highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
