Description:

This position provides electrical engineering design for critical parts manufacturing. The position works to identify and execute strategic quality engineering efforts in addition to driving cross-functional engagement of quality project initiatives. This role requires the interaction with product design engineering teams in order to ensure the product quality and productivity goals.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

· Responsible for manufacturing equipment electrical architect design, implementation and verification.

· Engaging in all phases of new product introduction and process development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.

· Perform electrical parts failure mode analysis, components life-cycle, signals integrality, logic timing and analog tolerance analysis.

· Use advanced digital design methodology and analysis skills to solve technical problems in order to achieve product and process excellence.

· Delivering improvements to process and equipment for high quality and productivity

· Validating process and equipment performance

· Participate in new product introductions through process layout, equipment/tool development, and process development.

· Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation

Quality Specific Goals:

1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables

5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

1. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

2. 3 years engineering experience in a related field

3. Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics

4. Good experience in electrical automation device design or maintenance, such as MCU, PLC, Motor, Sensor, etc

5. Experience with program coding, such as C, C++, Java, etc

6. EMC Knowledge and experience

7. Basic knowledge in industrial interfaces, such as CAN, Ethernet, wireless, etc.

8. Good Communications in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications:

1. MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

2. Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities

3. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

4. Demonstrated program/project planning capability

5. Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

7. Design for reliability and design for manufacturing experience

8. 6 sigma GB or above

9. Broad knowledge in process engineering, such as mechanical, material, etc
