Position Description
? Leads medical market and policy assessments for tuberculosis QFN and products within the region and creates development of strategic business plans for QIAGEN TB products
? Research and identify business opportunities available to the company through the identification of medical need, qualification of new markets, and key opinion leaders.
? Provide ethical and responsible clinical advice pertaining to QIAGEN TB products, their use and interpretation both generally and specifically. Participates in development of clinical paradigms to establish positioning of product and best clinical outcomes for TB and QFT products
? Assist medical practitioners and researchers in the use of QIAGEN TB products and in preparation of publications/presentations where requested
? Responsible for facilitating and coordinating KOL alignment activities, including clinical program development, resources, planning and KOL related business development.
? Represent QIAGEN in a broad arena of clinical fields: at key clinical international conferences, with major customer presentations, with Regulatory and Government bodies; both presenting and responding to presentations, actively questioning and engaging the clinical community, and addressing objections.
? Ensure communication between Medical Affairs and other departments is coordinated in order to provide efficient and effective product quality
? Medical supervision and training for clinical trials as needed and act as liaison with clinicians in conjunction with R&D; manage post-marketing Clinical Studies
? Providing medical input to all regulatory submissions, clinical trials, and manufacturing systems.Identify market opportunities for new clinical indications for Cellestis products; proposing and managing clinical studies or collection of clinical data, assist as a medical expert in regulatory submissions to support the development of new clinical indication.
? Provide strategic direction for QIAGEN on a global perspective with respect to market and product development for QIAGEN TB products, specifically relating to medical aspects.
? Manage QIAGEN clinical consultant activities. Prioritizing key areas of focus.
? Reviews and manages operational research proposals relevant to the development of key markets for QIAGEN products
? Prepare and implement clinical training programs for QIAGEN staff, commercial partners and key customers. Liaising with marketing group for development of training materials.
? Represent QIAGEN clinical opinion in marketing materials; e.g. videos, newsletters, marketing literature, PR activities.

Position Requirements
? Greater than 5 years of experience working in TB medicine and public health.
? Sound knowledge of immunology and microbiology
? Extensive experience in presentation in medical and scientific forums.
? Extensive experience in organising and conducting clinical trials
? Experience in preparation of regulatory submissions desired
? Good knowledge of international health regulatory and funding systems
? Experience with hospital medical staff, health systems, and continuous quality improvement activities preferred.
? Fluent in English and Mandarin

Education:
? Undergraduate degree in science and the ability to follow complex reasoning based on biological principles
? Post-graduate degree in Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary or Infectious Diseases or Masters in Public Health preferred
