Role Summary/Purpose

The Base Cost COE Analyst provides effort in driving visibility, forecasting accuracy and timely reporting of Base Cost to Greater China P&Ls. He/she will also work across finance and operational functions to optimize Base Cost initiatives, as well as other financial support.
Base Cost CoE Analyst reports to Base Cost CoE Leader.

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner closely with business leaders to proactively drive Base Cost initiatives and effectively analyze and communicate the financial impact on business.
• Proceed regular estimates /forecasts/reviews with P&Ls. On-going deep-dive analysis on specific base cost accounts to support P&L/business decisions on Base Cost actions.
• Ensure estimation and reporting delivery are committed by facilitating and coordinating efforts across multiple functions / P&Ls to gather required information.
• Assist in providing value-added base cost related management decision support. Identify major trends and corresponding base cost related facts.
• Seek for simplification opportunity that will either increase work capacity or save base cost spending for P&Ls.
• Perform STO team and Chengdu CIC base cost analysis support as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 2 years financial work experience
• Proper analytic skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers.
• Good verbal & written communication skills: fluency in English; experience working across multiple levels, functions and businesses; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation.
