Objectives:
Professional, efficient and effective Product Safety & Regulatory (PS&R) support to the business
and local product safety / product stewardship competency, ensure systems and structures in place for full compliance with international regulations and local laws for relevant Business Units and expertise area.

Main Tasks:

• Ensure that the requirements of chemical and product safety legislation for BASF products are fulfilled in the relevant geographical area. Implement BASF Group Product Safety Guidelines and Directives.
  


• Develop and implement compliance strategies for relevant BU. Support in steering cross regional, functional and countries so as to establish processes and tools to ensure compliance.
  


• Support to deliver professional Product Safety & Regulatory services to business and customers. Deliver effective and efficient services.
  


• Develop strategy and drive for local competency for self in topics such as product application competency in food packaging, automotive etc.
  


• Lead product stewardship in relevant geographical area
  


• Support in advocacy activities relevant to team. Represent BASF at industry associations and interaction with authorities.
  


• Act as governance. Provide guidance and services to business units and corporate functions in chemical and product safety legal compliance activities.
  


• Identify and communicate chemical legal requirements that may affect BASF operations in relevant geographical area.
  

Requirements:

• Education: Post-Graduate University degree in science related area, preferably Chemistry, Toxicology, Biological Science or related discipline


• Working Experience: At least 4-6 years of relevant experience


• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Sound knowledge in chemical regulations and product safety is a must


• Good understanding of the master data system (SAP-BASIS), supply chain and business processes of BASF


• Good analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.


• Good people management, influencing skills to convince various groups (internal customers) and external customers.
