A top 100 ASX listed company; with 67 stores Australia wide is looking for Human Resources Officer reporting to General Manager of Global Sourcing. Myer strategic growth plans for the next five years have a significant store expansion program and growth in our exclusive brand offer. To support this strategic direction Global Sourcing Offices are being established in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for passionate people to join our Business.

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities:

• Handle HR issues including recruitment, compensation and benefits, work safety, performance management, employee relations and other related matters.
• Coordinate and liaise with FESCO
• Assist the General Manager in ensuring the PRC standards, efficiencies and priorities are achieved, whilst balancing the PRC's specific needs, ensure all regulatory and legislative requirements are met
• Provide professional HR administration supports to the Shanghai office
• In conjunction with Myer Hong Kong HR department ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
• Maintain and update the company policies
• Monitor the effectiveness of all HR initiatives implemented with a focus on continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• At least 5 years HR professional experience in multinational companies
• Good experience/knowledge on local Chinese employment law regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem solving abilities
• Fluent English skill both in written and oral
• Able to communicate well with all levels of people
• Well-organized and able to work independently to meet datelines
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

• A confident and proactive work ethic
• Strong organisation skills
• Able to prioritise workloads
• Degree / Diploma in human resources management or business administration
