KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
If assigned to OCC
On site duty at assigned shift (12 hours a shift), arranged by service manager;
Supervise the system performance during the shift, record and report the problem and potential issue(abnormal behavior) of the system, including all subsystem such as DCS, Wayside, VOBC and ATS, under the guidance from service manager and technical manager, support the partner to address the found problem and potential issue;
In case of emergent events occurred(which leads to 5 minutes delay or above) during the service hour, be responsible of handling the failure to recover the service by onsite treatment, remote support the partner’s wayside group which are on duty in different stations, recording/reporting the progressing of treatment to service manager, escalating to TST TPM;
Lead the initial investigation of the failure case, draft the case report, and join the customer case analysis meeting, support TPM(technical manager) to address the root cause of the failure and workaround;
Supervise the preventive maintenance carried by partner during the shift, recording and reporting if any issue, technical issue to TPM/service manager and management issue to service manager;
Monitoring of the service support provided by partner to 3rd party during the shift.
Interface to Operation dispatcher in OCC; support them to quick response of any issue to reduce the impaction to revenue
If assigned to Vehicle at Depot
Onsite or remote support to the VOBC issue;
Technical support to partners to perform health check and preventative maintenance work of on board signaling equipments;
Follow up the VOBC performance of the system and identify, record, report the problem and potential issue(abnormal behavior), and under guidance of service manager, to support the partner to address the found problem and potential VOBC issue;
Support the OCC service engineer to handle the emergent event during service hour, remote support the partner’s VOBC group to recover the VOBC back to service in a timely manner, and onsite support when needed;
Lead the VOBC issue investigation, draft the VOBC case report, and join the customer case analysis meeting, support TPM to address the root cause of the failure and workaround;
If assigned to Wayside Maintenance service team;
Theoretical knowledge of Point machine, signal, power transformer, computer interlocking, Relay, CTF, familiar with wiring, installation, maintenance and strong capability of failure analysis for above equipments;
Take care of maintenance work of wayside equipments, improving the work manual, and support the maintenance work for other subsystem in case of emergency and directed by the service manager;
Tracking the working status of wayside equipments, handle all kinds of issues during the operation, keep communication within the organization and customer maintenance team;
Maintain the work log file and issue tracking list;
Coach and supervise the partner’s people in working area including the trackside and equipments room.
BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
Above 4 years' work experience, at least 2 years Site experience in Signaling
Basic English skills in oral and written, CET4 is necessary.
Good responsibility and analytical ability, such as problem analysis skills and problem reporting skills.
