The Position

Reporting to: Business Development Director of Biothane Anaerobic Treatment

Description of the position: The Design Engineer will be in charge of the process design, preparing technical proposals for design & build anaerobic waste water treatment plants in China (i.e. typically for Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Biofuels) and WWTP installation and commissioning. And other related work from supervisor.

Main responsibilities

o Tenders:

§ Develop Engineering drawings & documents (PFD, PID, plant layout, piping)

§ Drawings control and management

§ All round M/E/I design experience

§ Project design co-ordination with Client & vendors

§ Analyze client RFQ and propose technical bid strategy, in co-ordination with Business Development Managers

§ Support BD Manager for technical and commercial review of customer specification

§ Prepare competitive technical bid with the support of applications group: process, mechanical, E&ICA sections

§ Prepare cost estimation for equipment

§ Support Business Development Managers by participating in presentations and technical discussions with clients.

o Project execution:

§ Support the preparation of installation, testing & commissioning procedures and O&M manuals

§ Analyse overall system performance and recommend design improvements for future jobs. Provide feedback to application engineers.

In addition to the above, the Design Engineer will support the WWTP systems audit, troubleshooting and definition of maintenance programs.

Requirements

§ University degree in Chemical or / Environmental engineering

§ WWTP design institute experience

§ Over 3 - 5 years relevant work experience

§ Good communication and interpersonal skills

§ Open minded

§ Flexible team player

§ Willing to travel

§ Bilingual fluent in Mandarin and English

§ Work experience in multinational company is preferred
