Reporting to Asia Process Director, His main responsibilities will comprise the following:

Preparing mass balance of process and project brief
Execute process sizing and design
Support sales managers to define client’s needs. When required, prepare concept paper or draft technical proposal.
Participate to tender kick-off meeting with sales manager.
Review client’s RFQ requirements and define of scope of works.
Attend clarification meetings with client.
Analyse costs/benefits of alternative designs to ensure competitiveness and efficiency.
Prepare PFD, P&ID, plant layout, equipment list and specifications, based on design guidelines and calculation notes set by Waste Water Manager, or Competence Center or himself
Prepare and obtain process validation from Competence center or Technical Dept., if required
Assign and coordinate specific design scope to mechanical engineers, if required.
Coordinate and integrate E&ICA tender design with E&ICA engineer.
Identify and evaluate mechanical suppliers and sub-contractors (price, lead time, technical & financial capabilities, references, QA/QC, after-sales service). Development of a database.
Prepare technical proposal, including general system description, equipment list & specifications, drawings.
Prepare detailed estimation of system maintenance requirements.
Participation in bid presentation and technical support to sales team for contract negotiation.
In case of contract award, prepare project file for hand-over to contract design team.
Obtain feedback on suppliers from procurement manager (performance, price), and feedback on system design from lead design engineer.
Process assistance on site during commissioning and warranty test period
Expertise on process issues on existing and under commissioning plant, in relation with Competence center



Candidate profile

The candidate must have a master degree in chemical, environmental or sciences, and 3-5 years experience in similar position, i.e. process and design of waste water systems and tender preparation.

He/she should also demonstrate the following qualifications:

Good knowledge of waste water processes
Good process skills in waste water plant design
Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical design
Experience with Activated Sludge, Anaerobic technologies and/or IFAS technologies such as MBBR
Experience with AOPs (advantage oxidation process) such as Fenton
Experience with physical chemistry treatment process
Good written and spoken English
Good communications skills and good team player
Hard working and able to work under tight deadlines
Available to travel in China and abroad
