SUMMARY:



The Associate Managing Director develops business strategies, coordinates and directs the business operations to maintain profitability and achieve business growth objectives for the Shanghai office. Leads team in growing the business with current customers and by acquiring new customers and projects. This position is a senior business leader and is responsible for all aspects of the Shanghai business. This position requires a hands-on approach and leading by demonstration and example. This includes meeting with customers, developing and presenting project proposals and presentations. A strong background in business, education, training, staffing and the automotive industry is needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Direct responsibility for accomplishment of annual budget targets to ensure profitable revenues for Shanghai

· Oversees preparation of annual sales forecasts and budgets and determines market potential

· Prepares regular and special marketing, sales and budget reports

· Deploys marketing policy; recommends changes in product offering and pricing changes

· Reviews performance on a continuing basis and provides mentoring and counseling to direct reports

· Participates in industry meetings as needed

· Is the senior contact to customers and is ultimately responsible for customer relationships, retention, services and relationship management within the market.

· Coordinates pricing, content and delivery of training product and manages the key personnel

· Interfaces with global resources from Products & Services, Business Development, and Marketing to identify and implement strategies appropriate to this market

· Studies and analyzes data on customer sales and is responsible for taking the correct management action to improve sales revenue performance and to maximize profitability

· Hires, develops, coaches, provides feedback of direct reports; in partnership with local HR Manager

Perform other tasks as may be required



QUALIFICATIONS and/or EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA degree or above preferred.

· Business experience in the service related supplier corporations to vehicle manufacturers a plus

· 5 years of industry experience required

· Experience in sales, project management, budgeting, quality systems, personnel management, forecasting, preparation of presentations and responding to RFQ’s

· Proven ability and experience with managing large budgets

· Strong influential skills and customer focus

· Experience with strategic planning and new business development

· High level of professionalism & executive presence

· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with all levels of the organization

· Proven ability to develop and coach team members using a collaborative environment & approach

· Strong business acumen

· Adaptable and flexible in approach and leadership style
