JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Operation Manager, China is responsible for supporting the Head of Retail, China in driving our Customer Experience, Operational Excellence and ultimately Driving Results. This position will partner with cross-function teams to ensure all operational aspects of the business are organized and maintained at all times. He/she also plays a key role in building and maintaining company standards for our stores both internally and with partnerships. Additionally, this role is required to drive the execution of new store opening projects and any special projects related to in-store process changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & People Management

- Lead the development of operating plans, procedures and practices; works collaboratively with the operations team to meet and exceed the planned profit contribution for the China region

- Work closely with Training & Development Manager, China in creating retail training initiatives for people development

- Display a strong commitment to self-development and growth

Create the Customer Experience

- Support the Head of Retail in the execution of local marketing, customer relation/VIP strategies

- Partner with Store-in-Charge and Area Manager to resolve customer service issues, particularly in the areas of product damages, repairs, exchanges/transfers, dry cleaning, courier services…etc.

Represent the Brand

- Generate and execute new ideas to set our brand apart and ensure delivery of transformational customer experience to every customer

- Take ownership to maintain a high standard of store environment including daily cleaning, interior store maintenance, furniture, fixtures, upholstered items, lighting…etc.

- Ensure operational standard are aligned with the brand vision and maintain the integrity of the brand

Operational Excellence

- Support the Head of retail in setting, enforcing and monitoring the uniformity of company policies and standard operations procedures(SOP), supervise operations team in a growing boutiques business, mentoring and motivating retail operations personnel in the field

- Continuous research on new ways and works with operations team to identify, plan and execute areas for improvement

- Closely monitor the project progress of new stores openings and store renovation projects, merchandising strategy or operational efficiency

- Draft/Propose store incentive and manage shopping mall promotion updates, support the Head of Retail for the communication and execution

- Plan and organize retail meeting, follow up matters or issues arisen from Retail Meetings

- Prepare and handle payment requisitions/invoice/repair form/manual ticket printing, monitor and control department T&E

Drive the Business & Deliver Results

- Analyze sales figures and prepare forecast future sales

- Provide accurate weekly and monthly reports and analysis to facilitate management’s decision making

- Monitoring and report competitors' performance and promotional activities; provide marketing intelligence to the Head of Retail for reference

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

- A minimum of 8 years retail operations experience, in which 3 years in managerial level

- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills

- Excellent both verbal and written communication in English and Chinese

- Sound business acumen and retail numerical sense, detailed mind with strong analytical skills

- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and problem solving ability

- Proficiency in MS Office Applications
