Description:
1. The incumbent performs a dual role as the Site Director to more than 8000 employees in Suzhou plant, as well as the HR Business Partner to company executives, dealing with organizational/business issues including Change Management, Talent Management, manpower needs, team functioning and leadership effectiveness.
2. Reporting to the Executive Director, HRBPs & Site Support, Singapore - AMK, China & AP regions, the incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of HR solutions to the Operations and Support groups. The successful applicant must be capable of functioning as a consultant to executives, acting as the single point of contact for Human Resources and participating as an active member of the company executives. Participates with management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate and site requirements. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization. Typically directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
3. This position will be the main interface with the customers with supporting resources from the HR Product Centers of Staffing, Leadership and Learning, Benefits, and Compensation. As such, the successful applicant must be able to understand the business needs, articulate these business needs to partnering HR functions and apply HR expertise to develop solutions for the employee population. This position is also responsible for coaching and developing the expertise and skill set of the team members to ensure their success.
4. In this role, the successful applicant is expected to positively influence decisions to improve business results by acting as the voice of the employee and with individual managers. Across the organization, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of both site and global HR Programs, understanding the business climate and cultural differences, and representing business needs to the HR Product Centers. The successful candidate must have expert knowledge of annual HR processes and implementation requirements, as gained through experience and demonstrated project management success.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management is required.
2. Strong understanding and application of local China Labor Law.
3. At least 8 years of HR management experience, of at least 5 years working experience in a manufacturing industry with a sizable workforce.
4. Preferably with HR Business Partnering experience.
