Organizational Structure
*CCS team management structure(s)
*Definition and management of CCS team (and individual) roles and responsibilities
*Alignment of CCS resources to sales organization (territory mapping)
*Alignment of Specialist CCS skills to business requirements (current, future and in support of growth initiatives and new products)
Customer/Project Engagement Processes
*Develop best practices in the areas of customer engagement in both the pre-sales and delivery phases
*Develop best practice process around Services Sales/BDM activities – specifically alignment with Sales/SE organisation
*Develop best practice process around project delivery – specifically around scope management and handover
*Develop and structure standardised service offerings designed to simplify solutions sales and delivery
*Develop and maintain standardized collateral and re-use of high quality materials
Talent Management
*Lead, coach, mentor and support the Consulting GC team
*Be responsible for the retention and recruitment of high quality individuals with a view to improving organizational capability. This should be done through a balanced approach and using a mix of junior and senior resources
*Work with Human Resources to apply a structured (and documented) career development framework for the GC Consulting team
*Build and maintain a skills assessment (technical and soft skills) framework which supports continued improvement in organizational capability
*Build and maintain a training and development (technical and soft skills) framework which supports continued improvement in organizational capability
*Build and maintain Salary/Compensation models which support performance management and attainment of personal and company goals
Consulting Business Management
*Business planning and reviews
*Services revenue forecasting
*Resource (and whitespace) management
*Project governance and risk management reviews
Other Priorities
*Ensure there is effective internal and external communication to manage handover of responsibilities
*Ensure there are processes in place that measure organizational effectiveness and internal alignment
*Ensure there are processes in place to report on business/project status
*Develop a structure for strategic planning of the Consulting function to ensure it meets the changing needs of the GC business
Qualifications:
*Experience in managing a technology services organization at a National or Regional level
* Experience in the formulation and management professional services best practices
*Experience in the formulation and management of project delivery and risk management processes
* Experience in the formulation of complex technical solutions and strong understanding of customer drivers for the adoption of technology
*Proven technical and tactical problem solving skills and experience with complex solution designs. Must have the ability to explain complex solutions and mentor Consulting team on same.
*Experience and ability to define, build and maintain organizational capability through a structured approach to skills assessment, training, development and pro-active talent acquisition
*Experience in collaborative service delivery with partners/3rd parties – specifically an ability to collaborate with System Integration partners to deliver complex technology solutions that sit beyond the capabilities of each individual organisation
*Experience in cross functional/departmental alignment and working in matrix management structures. Proven ability to align and work with Sales, Support and other (internal) business units.
*Self-motivation, self-management and professionalism with advanced organizational, negotiation, problem solving skills and team building skills.
*Advanced level of specialized solution knowledge and a solid understanding of domain and technologies.
* Excellent oral and written (English and Mandarin) communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally.
*Skills in management/performance reporting. Specifically the ability to monitor and report on key performance metrics and define standardized responses when performance targets are not met
*Proficiency with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce.com.
Work Environment:
*Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time wthin assigned territory and other locations where required.
Position Summary:
*The Consulting Director/Senior Manager provides leadership, direction, and management for the Consulting Services organization in the GC region with the key objective of delivering technology solutions to our strategic customers in GC in a way that is aligned to and supporting the broader goals of the business. This will require a focus on repeatable customer success and the successful implementation of technology along with close and ongoing engagement with the sales and support organisation.
*The role of the Consulting Director/Senior Manager is to ensure that Consulting has a consistent and highly effective mode of operation in the GC region. This position requires a deep knowledge of professional services practices as they apply to the support of a software/hardware business and the ability to provide to provide effective and credible leadership (directly) to the members of the Consulting team as well as (indirectly, through influence) to the broader business.
