Job Title: Key Account Manager – Industrial market, Asia
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the identification, viability and the retention of business consistent with the long range and yearly business plan with Key customer accounts throughout Asia.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Identifies, documents, and develops sales strategies for new business opportunities (NBO) at Key Accounts. Manages existing business with Key accounts.
2. Leads new Company custom product developments at Key accounts through the PIP development process and management of all TQRDC issues.
3. Develops yearly Key account strategies, updates and communicates the situation reflecting the current status. Assists in developing annual business plans as it pertains to the assigned customer accounts and markets.
4. Documents current and planned sales opportunities (price, volume, revenue) in SAP, BBOA and all required documentation.
5. Manages product costing with development teams and presents required documentation (M1, D1, NPV, etc.) to senior management
6. Participates on cross functional teams to represent the voice of the customer within the business and to ensure that sales objectives are fulfilled.
7 Provides data for analysis of competitors’ price and product strategy in the market.
8. Provides liaison between customer account and all Company functional organizations (R&D, operations, quality, accounting, etc.)
9. Develops and maintains relationships at multiple levels within Key Accounts and engages Company management at appropriate levels as required.
10. Makes recommendations regarding new product/market opportunities and associated price strategy.
11. Understands the higher level corporate long range plans and strategy and ensure that the plans are being followed.
12. Up to 20% Domestic and International travel required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Business or technical degree, technical curiosity or aptitude preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years sales or related business experience
3. Commercial, sales, business aptitude required
4. Financial skills preferred (making good business decisions based on financial data)
5. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools required
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Strong sales skills are required.
2. Good communication and presentation skills with demonstrated poise in front of customers
2. High self confidence and firm belief in Company capabilities.
3. Sets correct image representing company.
4. Team player and the ability to interface at all organizational layers.
5. Quick analysis of information and decisive in recommended actions.
