Your role:

As a Project Manager you will build up and lead a team of qualified translators and revisers at our Chinese operation in Suzhou. You will take over the responsibility for all aspects of large projects in the public and/or private sector: initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing. You will ensure the overall project success with regard to constraints such as scope, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

§ Building up, coaching and guiding the local translation team;

§ Implementation of euroscript’s production and QA processes;

§ Analysing the scope and requirements of all requested services, mainly translations from a variety of languages into Chinese;

§ Identifying the needed production processes, translation tools and human resources;

§ Planning and managing the work of in-house and freelance translators by KPI’s;

§ Independent coordination of all production steps from receipt to delivery of jobs;

§ Understanding and strictly following euroscript’s complex customer specifications;

§ Closely monitoring all financial, deadline and quality aspects of translation projects;

§ Risk and complaint management, timely escalation of resource and quality issues;

§ Motivating project team through effective written and verbal communication;

§ Executing post-analyses of assignments to ensure continuous process improvement;

§ Regular reports on the development and financial status of external and internal customers;

§ Active support for bid calculations, defining the best resource and process solutions.

Your profile:

§ University degree in linguistics, translation or business administration, economics;

§ At least five years of practical experience in project management, especially in coordinating language services projects;

§ Outstanding computer literacy (e.g. MS-Office, Adobe Acrobat);

§ Proven experience with and keen interest in translation memory tools (e.g. Trados, Transit);

§ Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge of German and/or French is a plus;

§ Well-structured problem solver, detail-orientated and quality-focused;

§ Strong customer orientation;

§ Managerial know-how and ability to coach and guide new team members;

§ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;

§ Ability to demonstrate initiative as well as develop team spirit;

§ Highly stress-resistant, committed and flexible in order to meet tight deadlines;
