Position Purpose(Overview of the position)

The Product Marketing Specialist will support the imported vehicle team in delivering forward model marketing deliverables for all imported vehicle Car programs and coordinating all marketing deliverables.


Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position


1. Support imported vehicle Car product marketing initiatives as directed by the product marketing manager. Assignments may include competitive analysis, pricing analysis, and drafting of market equation papers.

2. Assist the product marketing manager who is the key contact for guiding and coordinating local product actions and market equations through APA approval.

3. Support the product marketing manager in their role of developing & obtaining consensus in MS&S:

- Strategic intent of the imported vehicle Car products within the China imported vehicle product portfolio

- Brand Positioning: Target customers, Product Benefits, Personality/Image, Pricing Strategy

- Brand Profiler, and integration of market brand strategy into vehicle line product assumptions

- Identifying regional markets where new products will be sold, including the integration of regional market wants into program assumptions.

- Detailed order guide with feature mixes by market.

- Future vehicle product needs and customer requirements, including use of Ford Global research tools.

- Market equation development, including market commitments to appropriate volume and revenue.

- Integration of market brand strategy (both Primary and vehicle line brands) into Vehicle Line product assumptions.

- Proactively support ongoing profit improvement and complexity reduction efforts.

4. Responsible for being single point of contact for all imported vehicle Car mix, rates, volumes, sales, order guides, and PDLs.

5. Lead or support special market or product studies as necessary.

Education Qualification


A marketing or business degree is preferred but related work experience is equally important

Knowledge of China market and premium product and brand requirements

Ability to champion Marketing Sales and Service issues within the program team environment
