Field Investigator

This position is responsible for investigating suspicious insurance claims or suspicious insurance related activities covering all lines of business to support the Claims organization.
Key Responsibilities
To gather facts on issues in question through desktop based or field interviewing and statement taking of witnesses, employers, claimants and other relevant witnesses.
To obtain and preserve physical and documentary evidence to support investigations.
To analyze case assignments and complete thorough, detailed field and desktop work.
To identify, create, and complete fraud training for various lines of business as requested by your manager or other sources.
To conduct data analysis and create reports in both Chinese and English based on evidential findings, providing examiners with the information required to progress the claim as appropriate and per request of SIU manager.
To coordinate necessary investigative techniques and resources, such as fieldwork through internal or external field resources, etc.
To accurately identify and record all financial impact for cases worked in the case management system
To triage all incoming fraud referrals
To assist the Head of Fraud as appropriate in ensuring key deliverables and business objectives are met.


Requirements:

Thorough understanding of insurance claims processes.
No less than 5 years of experience in insurance or fraud investigations. Experience in multiple lines of business is a plus.
Strong telephone and face-to-face conversation management skills.
Strong technical skills/experience for utilization of claims management systems, case management systems, reporting, and required database searches.
Ability to organize data and write investigative reports in both Chinese and English.

Ability to provide guidance and training support to SIU staff , claims examiners and third party resources when required.

Four year college degree.

Fluent oral English is a plus.
