Major responsibilities include:

§ Responsible for system administration and system operations for open systems, including Wintel, Unix, Webservices, Sybase/Oracle Database, Citrix, VMWare.

§ Manage and provide guidance for Open System Admin and DBA.

§ Provide guidelines for system setup and maintenance

§ Infrastructure system troubleshooting and coordinate the open system team members to resolve the incidents

§ Implement open systems for infrastructure projects and hardware/software installation

§ Support disaster recovery activities

§ Update and maintain the hardware and software inventory

§ Perform pre-determined audits to ensure compliance to corporate standard policies and procedures

§ Implement new technology upgrades

§ Upkeep and ensure system security, integrity and protection against unauthorized access or intrusion

§ Enhance effective delivery of services through peer-to-peer team work and support with/for the other production support teams throughout the project implementation stages

§ Hardware/software procurement, and coordinate with equipment vendors on technical specs, inspection upon delivery.

§ Update and maintain related documentation of installation and execution procedures

Must Have Experience

§ Minimum of 10 years professional experience

§ At least 8 years of infrastructure experience from a large scale enterprise (1000+ users) within one of the following fields

§ System Integrator

§ Telecom

§ Datacenter hosting or Technology vendor (Storage, Servers, Network)

§ Finance or insurance

§ Application Development

§ Cloud provider

§ At least 5 years of experience of participating in or leading technical delivery in infrastructure projects

§ At least 3 years of infrastructure system design (analysis, development & implementation) or equivalent experience. Must demonstrate:

§ Basic understanding on the use cases, benefits, and challenges within server computing, networks, storage, middleware and end user computing.

§ Familiarity with fundamental networking & distributed computing environment concepts

§ Evaluate technical options, including criteria and trade-offs

§ Ability to write and present technical justifications for open systems

§ Proven execution skills in an international company, working with diverse technical stakeholders

§ Excellent oral presentation and writing skills

§ Strong communication skills in English (written & oral)

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
