Main Purpose

The Manager in this position has the responsibility to lead a team for the design engineering of consumable products including the project execution and production scale up of product designs to manufacturing to achieve product cost, quality, project schedule, and project cost targets.

Summary

The responsibility of this position will include the bridging and production scale up of product designs to manufacturing. This includes projects in the MAS and MV lines of business to create a manufacturable product through the engineering process, adhering to established product schedules and budgets. Tasks generally include participation in analysis and design to meet both product and manufacturing / validation test processes. The ability to apply product development, project management, and manufacturing engineering toward practical tag/label products in an engineering environment is essential.

Main Responsibilities

？ Manages a project team for the development of MAS and MV consumable products.
？ Manages a project team to define and implement cost reductions efforts in consumable product materials, manufacturing processes.
？ Capable of managing product developments and transitions to manufacturing sites which include CMC, CMJ, and third party external operations.
？ Provides leadership with technical and manufacturing colleagues to foster research ideas, developments, and creation of new innovative products.
？ Exercises substantial creativity, motivation, and independence in engineering projects.
？ Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding problems, customer complaints, or questions with the company’s products.
？ Document test results in clear, concise manner.
？ Capable of managing up to two direct reports.
？ Capable of traveling with short notice as customer problems arise.

Minimum Requirements: Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four year college; with two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

？ Knowledge of RF/RFID technology beneficial.
？ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
