Role Summary/Purpose

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in the continued growth of GE Healthcare Solution Selling.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review of global client needs and converting this to a proposal together with ES team to offer a solution to those needs
• Act as the main contact for Global Bioprocess Accounts
• Provide business development leadership for Solution Selling
• Work closely with the business staff to support a wide range of business development activities, including Enterprise Solution and BMS/FastTrak
• Develop and execute transactions to support the business by performing market analysis, identifying targets, leading due diligence efforts, and structuring/negotiating deals
• Prioritize global market segment requirements, perform gap analysis to current GE Healthcare portfolio, and define strategic and tactical stops to best position segment for accelerated growth
• Take commercial execution lead in assigned project management.
• Build strong network with local Bioprocess sales teams by constantly informing them about Solution Selling development and strategy.


Qualifications/Requirements

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a technical field, and a minimum of two years of business development / M&A experience in the areas of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other investments, OR a minimum of six years of business development / M&A experience in the areas of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other investments
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and negotiating business transactions including acquisition evaluation, modeling and financial analysis
• Proven track record supporting and managing transactions
• Ability to understand the various business unit goals and proactively identify inorganic opportunities to meet them
• Experience and demonstrated aptitude both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives
• Strong working knowledge of English language (oral and written)
• Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

• MBA
• Healthcare industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex business issues
• Ability to work within a matrix organizational environment and to interact with executives at the most senior levels
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated teamwork skills
• Adaptable/Flexible: Being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
• Clear thinking: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely
• External focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the industry/function and considering the external impact of business activities and decisions on the external environment
