职位描述
The incumbent will provide primary marketing support in the assigned region.
As a senior member of both the Marketing leadership team and the Regional leadership team (Asia Pacific), the incumbent will be responsible for:
(1) Working with the regional leadership to develop winning strategies and tactics to meet growth, revenue and operating income objectives; and
(2) working with the VP Marketing, conduct deeper market segment analysis on an as needed basis to support overall strategy development.
1. Regional Customer Marketing. Provide marketing support to the assigned Region, and global Product Directors and Managers; translating high level strategies into regional specific action oriented business plans. Duties may include:
a. Partner with the regional STRAP project leader to coordinate annual STRAP development and ensure that market segment and regional strategies are tightly aligned.
b. Work with the Product Line Leaders and Managers to
i. Develop regionally specific product strategies in line with the overall strategic plan for appropriate market segments.
ii. Provide tools, processes, and tactics that will help define and implement the regional product line strategies.
iii. Provide support for New Product Introductions (NPI) to ensure customer needs are clear and considered in final product development; and a well developed launch plan is created
c. Work with the regional Sales, Product Line Leaders and Managers to
i. Develop regionally specific customer strategies.
ii. Develop regionally appropriate value propositions.
d. Manager Marketing Communications to prioritize resources; and ensure best practices are used for successful product launches and customer campaigns.
2. Strategic Marketing. Work with the VP of Marketing to develop sound business strategies for the business in critical market segments as needed/assigned; and regional growth strategies.
a. As part of the overall STRAP development process, develop market segment and regional business plans.
b. Conduct regional customer and market analysis to develop a thorough understanding of the target industries and customer needs. Provide feedback to the right Customer Marketing leader for implementation by the LOB.
c. Help the organization maintain visibility into regional trends/big picture.
d. Support the business in Phase 0 market assessment of new product development, including financial analysis and scenario analyses to build accurate revenue, margin and profit projects for the new market.
e. Support M&A work as assigned.
3. Marketing Functional Excellence. Serve as consultant to the LOB VP/GM, Product Line Leaders and Managers to ensure best practices are utilized in all areas of Marketing including:
a. Strategy development
b. Value proposition development
c. Market analysis
d. Competitive Intelligence and analysis
e. Product life cycle model development
f. Pricing strategies and execution
g. Marketing Communications
h. Product launches
Measures of Success:
1. Regional STRAP (strength of LOB strategies)
2. Product growth initiatives for region (Revenue and Op Income)
3. Region Performance (Revenue and Op Income)
4. Regional Goal Alignment (strength of actions)
5. Effectiveness of Regional new product launches
6. Market segment growth (Revenue)
7. STRAP (strength of SBU strategies)
Requirements
1. Customer marketing (new business development) experience
2. Product Marketing
3. Broad marketing experience including the application of key processes/tools
4. Strategic planning experience
5. Other experiences preferred
a. Sales
b. Marketing specialist experience (Pricing, analysis, brand management, etc.)
c. P&L management
d. Product management
e. Six Sigma
f. Engineering/Technical Degree/experience
g. MBA
