Network Optimization Specialist for Ericsson WCDMA RAN

Overview:
Performing optimization in terms of RF, performance, capacity, architecture, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Recommends parameters tuning & design evolutions. Field optimization team management. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current & future architecture. Manage the field optimization team and maintain the relation with customer.

？ E/// radio equipment area all optimization related activities
？ Manage the field optimization team
？ Forecast traffic patterns and recommends parameter definitions

Position Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Network Optimization Engineer is responsible for delivering against the following roles and responsibilities:
？ Derives from the network architecture the operational network design taking into account planning aspects, operational constraints, optimization of existing network & quality expectation from end user point of view
？ Defines the criteria to assess network performance from end-user / service perspective & monitors those criteria
？ Manage the field team, optimization activities, and all tasks scheduling and controlling.
？ Identifies and anticipates proactively network performance issues (traffic/quality/resiliency) and provides recommendations for improvement
？ Optimizes the capacity of the network to meet traffic increase and customer requirements thanks to either network extension or existing network modification
？ Ensures that design & optimization guaranty the capability for the network to provide end-user new services in line with customer environment, business goals/drivers, and quality.
？ Develops and maintains a trust & win-win relationship with customer from initial NPO scope agreement till final acceptance of NPO deliverables, taking Alcatel-Lucent business interests into account
？ Ensures that related deliverables& KPIs included in the contract are followed-up and met. Identifies and reports risks associated

Skills & Knowledge:
The Network Optimization Engineer has a strong understanding of:
？ The engineer has developed a deep & operational experience of network engineering, design, architecture, quality analysis, & optimization. This experience is related to one or several subsystems with an objective to acquire the End-to-End expertise in terms of traffic & quality.
？ Good understand of basic radio access theory such as GSM/GPRS/UMTS/HSPA+, and other basic required theory such as signaling and radio propagation.
？ Subject matter expertise in data collection, analysis and reporting; Strong optimization experience on Ericsson radio network optimization. (Project experience on ChinaUnicom 3G/2G is preferred)
？ Be very familiar with Ericsson Utran/BSS products, optimization toolkits, parameter and RRM (features), and optimization skills & process.
？ A constantly changing environment and is able to relate impacting issues and risks to customer, understanding their business implications.
？ Working in a multi-customer, multi-vendor, multi-technology environment is preferred.

Other Requirement:
？ Optimization and planning related experience more than 7 years, and experience on Ericsson more than 4 years.
？ Bachelor degree or above, major in telecommunication or related
？ Rich experience of Planning & Optimization RAN/BSS
？ Rich experience in people/field management
？ Excellent communication with team and customer
？ Excellent leadership
？ Excellent English skills, both oral and writing abilities are mandatory
