Qualifications:
-University graduate with a minimum of B.S degree,
-Good computer skills
-English language skills
Experience:
-Minimum. 2-4 years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge:
-Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Practical Problem Solving Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental
Skills & Behaviour
-Ability to work in a team and manage people.
-Good communication and reporting skills
-Excellent computer skills
-Proactive and self starter, establishes work priorities to meet Production Goals
-Expected to work with a minimum of supervision, and be extremely responsive to process and quality issues.
Key Accountabilities:
1.People Management & Development
a.Communication with all Team members (through tours of the work area, listening, actively seeking information, monitoring reactions, etc).
b.Formal interviews: return from leave of absence, disciplinary, annual appraisal.
c.Analysis of accidents & Management of safety risks.
d.Transfer of support tasks into the work team.
e.Develop and monitor training plan.
f.Manage Team headcount (absences, vacation, training, workshops).
g.Coaching of the Operator in his role (Standardized Work, Safety, 5S, Quality Tools)
2.Production Management -Guarantee SQCDP
a.Management of shift-start (5min meeting, communication at shift change, etc.)
b.Visual Management inside the Team
c.Coach Operators in their management of Quality
d.Production tracking (Parts board) during the shift - take appropriate action to achieve targets
e.Accountable for daily SQCDP results - reports results/actions to the Production/Cell manager
f.Validate and manage Multi-skilling and Cross-training (Standardized work) to optimize flexibility.
g.Build Standardized Work using input from the Team.
h.Management control of Standards through audits and prompt reaction to deviation from Standards.
i.Liaise with Support Functions (Maintenance, HSE, Quality) and Teams to solve problems quickly.
j.By knowing where to look and what to notice, the Coordinator systematically and actively reacts immediately to non-standard or below-target situations, and personally leads recovery.
k.Daily debriefing on performance at shift-end (covering "Not Right First Time", Scrap, Safety concerns, and other problems) and prompt agreement on appropriate actions.
3.Production Management - Improve SQCDP
a.Capture Operators' best practice, describe practice in writing, and train Operators in the new practice as the new standard
b.Use observation and coaching to reduce variability and so improve area's performance
c.Measure performance appropriately, shows improvement opportunities in team KPIs
d.Manage PPS autonomously to improve performance
e.Identify non-performance, waste and variability, and initiates improvement actions
f.Organise and manage improvement actions using appropriate work teams (Team Leaders, operators, monthly meetings, etc)
g.Validate and follow up on the implementation of improvement ideas- makes sure schedules are respected
h.Present results and action plans to the Production/Cell manager
