Mission

Manage the product process from identification of customer needs, translating the objective to the technical center, application, performance, cost parameters, and service in accordance with marketing objectives. Supporting Industry Business Manager to develop new opportunities at customers and OEMs. This position is to foster new customer relationships and create initial sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain the product line to meet objectives of the business plan. “Owns the product”.

2. Direct product formulations, specifications, operations requirements, and life-cycle recommendations.

3. Provide technical support to the sales force, handle all technical product-related problems referred from the field, and work closely with marketing and sales/key account management.

4. Manage the process of product development between customer and technical center, and day to day activities of Technical Service Support in close co-operation with the Sales Team.

5. Understand customer needs, translating the objective to the technical center.

6. Co-ordinate with other functions (local labs, manufacturing, purchasing) to determine and establish technical feasibility and product cost as input for the final offer.

7. Identify new opportunities and accounts in the targeted market and establishing programs and relationships to create product and service demand.

8. Direct and organize the specified sales team and promotional activities.

9. Plan, manage and introduce new and revised products (e.g. market research, product definition, project management and new product launch) required to advance Quaker’s participation in the new and emerging segments.

Qualification and Criteria:

· Bachelor and above degree in chemistry

· At least 5 years and above related experience in surface treatment area

· Good prioritization and communication skills (oral and written)

· Good command of English

· Problem-solvers with excellent learning agility

· Willing to travel frequently (about one third monthly)
