Reports to role: Regional Supply Chain Strategy & Design Manager
Location: Beijing

Role purpose
? Accountable for delivering supply chain review and design projects aligned with overall company supply chain strategy (framework and principles), applying supply chain design tools, techniques and methodologies, in orders to meet the evolving needs of the market and con-tribute to overall business enhancement.
? Actively promote Supply chain redesign methodology with all stakeholders and help in-terested programme sponsors organize themselves to redesign their supply chain.
? Work closely together with all relevant functions to design innovative supply chain solu-tions and implement them in the region.
? Deliver SC design service to support business teams for development of new offers
? Create robust and cost effective supply chains aligned to the strategy, with specific em-phasis on security of intellectual property, security of supply, product quality, and total cost of supply, inventory management, risk management, asset network optimisation & investment.
? Propose and report against targets set against the standard set of KPI’s to ensure deliv-ery against the strategic imperatives.

Accountabilities
? Project management of specific regional strategic supply chain review and redesign projects aligned with overall company supply chain design strategy applying supply chain design tools, techniques and methodologies
? Provide stakeholder clarity on the time-lines, risks, issues and interdependencies be-tween various projects and initiatives.
? Work with various global, regional and territory functions to develop supply chain de-signs for Crop Protection and Seeds across the region.
? To proactively represent and champion supply chain design activities and requirements at all levels and across all functions of impact and to promote cross functional working
? To establish partnership and efficient communication channels with business and com-mercial teams
? Use cross area network to seek for early involvement into new projects to develop sup-ply chain solution for new offers and services
? Working closely with the Regional P&S team to identify opportunities to test and im-prove supply chain design tools, techniques and methodologies in support of overall supply chain design
? Actively participate and contribute on the end-to-end SC Design network of excellence
? To seek for support and buy-in from key stakeholders and opinion leaders to ensure proper design and delivery of change projects
? To support the regional and global Strategy & Design team members in leading edge thinking for supply chain design solutions
? To follow supply chain discussion outside the company and to seek out for possible solu-tions and ideas from other companies or industries
? To facilitate knowledge transfer and methodology / best practice take over from func-tions

Knowledge, experience & capabilities
? Master Degree in Engineering and / or Business Administration and five years post graduate experience
? Knowledge of operations management, logistics and SC theory
? Supply chain design expertise; understanding of end-to-end supply chain network design and optimisation
? Project management
? Financial knowledge
? Workshop facilitation, catalyst skills
? An understanding of chemistry and / or chemical engineering and chemical manufactur-ing experience would be advantageous.
? Lean Six Sigma expertise or business improvement knowledge and understanding of Best Practice in chemical and all other industries in manufacturing, logistics, planning and or-der fulfilment.
? Track record of successful work on cross-functional teams.
? Awareness of cultural diversity
? Mobility for travelling
