Position: Assistant Manager/Supervisor, Human Resources (HR Business Partner)
Work Location: Shanghai
Reporting to: Manager, Human Resources
JOB OBJECTIVES:
Under the general guidance of the supervisor, plan, organize, schedule and coordinate the HR activities to support the implementation of the HR strategies in the areas of compensation and benefit, staffing and terminations, employee training and development, organization development, employee relation, etc. for designated business units, according to established policies and procedures. Evaluate the progress and propose modifications/changes in the procedures to ensure the correct and consistent implementation of the HR activities, legal compliance, alignment with market best practices and objective achievements to support organization development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organization development
Support to proceed the annual headcount planning with the line managers and keep an updated database of organization structure and employee profiles.
Assist to evaluate existing job positions and benchmark new/revised positions to ensure internal equity at the appropriate organization levels. Support the M&A divestiture project and business re-organization.
2. Staffing, employment administration and employee termination
Support to manage the staffing, employment administration and employee termination activities according to established policies and procedures, legal requirements, including but not limed to coordinating the staffing process with recruitment team, administration of personnel documentation from setting personnel files (electronic and hardcopy) to maintenance, especially the statutory benefit registration and de-registration, file closing, etc.
3. Performance management administration
Support to coordinate the relevant managers to proceed the annual Employee Dialogue including conducting Performance Management workshop to familiarize/refresh employees the process and requirements, appropriate use of performance management tools.
4. Compensation and benefits
To prepare communication materials, defined templates to support explanation the compensation and benefit policies to managers and local employees, proposals of salary adjustments for individual employees during the salary reviews according to salary structure, policies/guidelines in order to support internal equity. Provide the salary data to the colleague responsible for payroll to ensure the employee receiving the right payment timely
5. Employee training and development
Coordinate with Training and Development Platform to prepare for the annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) meetings with line managers to support creating a competent workforce, drive multi-skills program and ensure the implementation meeting both budget & employee development needs.
6. Employee relationship
Coordinate, schedule and prepare documents/presentation for the communication meetings, workshops with employees, business units related to HR topics such as employee opinion survey, communication meetings, focus group discussions, to help foster trust-building between the employees and the management, and to support the realization of a working environment that encourages communication.
7. Support the improvement of HR overall system in China to ensure consistent system/ process/ structure improvement and alignment
Keep track on the development of government labor requirements and best practice in market related to assigned work areas and propose the changes that could affect the existing policies/ procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. University degree
2. Good command of English (oral and writing)
3. Around 5 years in Human Resources management in MNCs
4. Ability to work independently, take initiative, set and execute to work plans.
