Responsibilities:

• Implement Gauging Strategy and Gauging Application Specification.
• Complete gauging input for study requests on all required component gauging equipment and QC/layout inspection.
• Review Global Early Sourcing Work Plan (ESWP) for gauging equipment, and identify any exceptions to the ESWP.
• Issue orders for gauges; follow-up on design, approve drawings, track build progress, control costs, and coordinate M.S.A. studies (per PTS02-081ME) at the gauge supplier, machine tool builder (as required) and final acceptance at plant.
• Issue orders for layout, lab equipment, and supporting facilities; follow-up on design, approve drawings, track build progress, control costs, and coordinate M.S.A. studies (per PTS02-081ME), as required.
• Provide gauging systems that will collect and retain data of variable gauges (Q-DAS), as required.
• Champion continuous improvement in gauging methodologies.
• Evaluate product designs and identify any features for gauging feasibility.
• Support New Program Engineering meetings (e.g. DCP, Simultaneous Engineering, CPMT).
• Provide spare parts list for 1295 generation, as required.
• Coordinate packaging, shipping, delivery, installation and commissioning of gauge equipment.
• Support in plant machine capability studies, as required.
• Investigate and resolve issues involving gauging equipment through launch and handover.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Engineering-Other.
• 5-8 years experience in gauging engineering or Machining.
• Extensive manufacturing process knowledge preferably automotive Solid understanding of GD&T, Blue print reading, Tolerance stack ups, CMM Programming, Fixture Design and process design Exposure to Flexible CNC machining systems, Tooling and Quality systems.
• Good English Communication Skills.
• Team Player.
• Ability to learn and adapt.
• Positive and Find a way attitude.
• Solid technical background Process Discipline , Project Management Skills, Quality mindset Strong Analytical Skills, Excellent Computer Skill.
