Responsibilities:

1)Manage Asia Pacific’s V09 VFG Business:

• Lead weekly VFG meetings with Manufacturing VFG & VRT Leaders.
• Drive progress of projects using BSAQ Work Plans.
• Control & own Functional BSAQ Glidepaths by ensuring the regional teams are maintaining their projects correctly.
• Provide technical and day-to-day management direction for quality improvement projects within the V09 VFG.
• Provide linkage to Functional Team and guidance for the Plant VRTs.
• Identify and remove roadblocks in a timely manner.

2)Accountable for V09 Quality Improvement Objectives

• Work with Quality & Functional teams to set annual objectives and priority tasks.
• Proactively identify and implement sufficient quality projects within the V09 VFG to meet Quality Objectives (including cross-vehicle synergies).
• Accountable for the integrity of BSAQ Status Reports and expected to report status to Senior Leadership.
• Accountable for the integrity of BSAQ Glidepaths for V09.
• Use of 6-sigma methodology, DV/PV Testing, Critical to Quality/PD Health Charts and global best practices.
• Work closely with suppliers, regional PVTs, LVEAs, JV, Asia Pacific/Core Technical Experts, Manufacturing, Purchasing, STA to ensure the team arrives at the best solution.

3) Prevent Recurrence

• Ensure that every project delivered and every issue encountered is assessed for impact on Ford’s corporate knowledge base.
• Prevent recurrence may require updates to System Design Specifications, Design Rules and other systems or processes.
• In order to deliver this element of the Role, the VFG leader must build strong relationships with the Mechanisms and Fixed Glazing Functional and Core Teams (both locally in Asia Pacific and globally with Europe and the Americas).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Confident in leading a team through various design & development stages (concept to launch)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Project Management experience
• Related experience in relevant fields (5 - 7 years min)
• Understanding of 6 Sigma / G8D problem solving disciplines
• Data analysis skills (Proficient in Excel, Minitab)
