Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivery of integrated IT business solutions for JV Plant Launches in China including integration of multiple external supplier partners, and utilizing multiple execution and contractual engagement models (fixed scope / fixed capacity / staff augmentation; fixed price contracts / time and material engagements).
• Required to lead and manage the needed relationship management and contractual management elements of the supplier engagements, including analysis and decision-making on partner proposals, execution of purchase orders, adherence to appropriate corporate policies and legal requirements, and supplier partner performance management and issue resolution.
• The solutions managed may involve a single business area or may span across multiple business domains. The solution management role will participate with the business-facing IT roles and the business partner on business need identification, solution definition, and solution scenario planning.
• Own IT Program requirements, estimates, maintain & report status, financials, issues, risks, change requests and ensure progress to plan. Define & adhere to escalation mechanism as appropriate.
• Maintain spending forecasts in system and provide annual and multi-year forecasts of plant launches related consumption budget items.
• Secure Business sign-off of IT deliverables for the launch & transition support to Production Support
• Build cross functional business knowledge, predominantly in Manufacturing and also train local talent.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer science or equivalent with at least 8+ years of IT deployment / implementation of plant physicals experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver on project commitments through leadership, teamwork, problem analysis/resolution and productivity improvements.
• Flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones and sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with manufacturing processes in vehicle and power train plants
• Experience with quality monitoring, traceability, or plant floor controls preferred.
• Project/Program management skills including financial tracking.
• Experience maintaining project scope and timing in the face of sometimes opposing customer demands.
