Job Objective

Setting up, running, evaluating and documenting extensive thermal / climatic or electro-mechanical tests. Carrying out and documenting extensive final release tests and those accompanying development.

Tasks / Area of Responsibility

Setting up comprehensive tests

1. Drawing up and specifying or changing comprehensive measuring and testing programs as well as test concepts (models, structures, simulations, test circuits) for individual parts, assemblies, devices and systems

2. Defining trial and test arrangements, if necessary adapting the trial and testing equipment

3. Involvement in the preparation of design and development-related suggestions for a solution in order to reduce fault deviations, for example, during examinations of dimensioning and deviation tolerances of devices and parts

4. Selecting corresponding evaluation procedures; programming corresponding test programs, taking into consideration existing systems and libraries

5. Setting up the test structure and adapting existing trial and testing equipment to the respective task on hand if appropriate

6. Estimating the test expenditure and involvement in the creation of quotations in agreement with the responsible bodies

Carrying out and analyzing comprehensive tests

1. Constructing complex test set-ups, models and test circuits for individual parts, assemblies, devices and systems

2. Carrying out comprehensive tests and calculations for individual parts, assemblies, devices and systems, initiating tests with those responsible

3. Carrying out or initiating examinations of suitability on materials and components with existing and new technologies in electronic development; evaluating the test data and interpreting the results

4. Advising clients with regard to optimization possibilities, involvement in solution concepts for the individual parts, assemblies, devices and systems examined

5. Specifying, testing and releasing applications and customer-specific components

6. Arranging for and/or setting up necessary test-related documentation and routine tests

7. Involvement in the processing of customer complaints about series devices and manufacturing difficulties in agreement with those affected (including Quality Assurance, assembly, laboratory)

8. Advising other specialist departments about individual functional systems (testing systems)

9. Processing complaints, carrying out meetings with internal positions and customers, in order to eliminate device and material faults

Requirements

Bachelor degree with electrical engineering / mechatronics, mechanical engineering major

At least 1 year test related working experience

Basic knowledge of Notes

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Quality management

Fluent in spoken and written English
