职位描述

Responsibilities:

  • Is the Program Lead (SPOC) for DPA3 activities.
  • Key job responsibility is to lead the variation agreement process for part-to-part and functional interfaces. This is
    completed with a cross-functional team of D&R engineers, suppliers, Studio, System, Craftsmanship, CAD, VO,
    FCSD and attribute leaders.
  • Work with cross-functional team to define required geometric interfaces during UN/UP V0 timeframe, develop an
    associated DPA3 work plan, create Digital Pre-Assembly (DPA) Program Requirements List (PRL), support the
    cascade DPA Requirements to appropriate Engineers, Designers and Suppliers, lead escalation and sign-off
    process through FDJ, support launch team through J1.
  • Drive cross-functional issue resolution and enable trade-off discussions to achieve compatible geometric design
    requirements for Clearance (DPA 0/1), Craftsmanship (DPA 2), Appearance Tolerance (DPA 3), Service
    (DPA 4), Assembly (DPA 5), and Package targets (DPA 6).
  • Technical ability to define issues, escalate and communicate both at engineering team and management levels is very important.
  • Has demonstrated ability to teach RSS, DVA, Tolerance and GD&T to DPA3 engineers and other DPA3 team
    members.
  • Adherence to global DPA3 processes, methods, tools, cadence and compliance reporting systems.
  • Lead CAD validation studies using CATIA and VISMOCKUP.
  • Support team with GD&T creation, RSS calculation and print reviews.
  • Coordinate and support virtual reviews in the FiVE lab being led from FoA.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineers and leverage CAD to support data assessments as well as understand data availability, maturity, and design progression.
  • Provide input to DPA3 QOS Metrics weekly and elevate roadblocks / issues which require Management
    assistance or Deviation review/approval using Issue Escalation/Management Process.
  • Support Post-FDJ build analysis of geometric issues and any incorporate “lessons learned” and
    countermeasures to prevent future program reoccurrence.
  • Promote the application of new enabling technologies within Block Engineering (Digital Buck, Team Center
    Buck, C3P-NG Tools, VVT, E2KS, KBE Package Tools, AVBOM, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 year’s relevant engineering experience and has completed DPA3 engineer role or equivalent for minimum 2 full programs.
  • Experience in vehicle system design dimensional control.
  • Engineering dimensional variation experience on new vehicle programs.
  • Understanding of Ford's Product Development process, ability to condense detailed dimensional issues down to the key, easy to understand
    points.
  • Team facilitator and coaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Relationships with other departments.
  • Demonstrated ability at balancing and prioritizing workload.
