Responsibilities:

• Provide corrosion and environmental testing service to support all Ford Asia Pacific and Africa (APA) program launches and field issues resolution.
• Conduct tests per Ford Materials Engineering Specifications and complete lab reports per customer requests
• Ensure high quality test results are delivered with good traceability and repeatability
• Lead corrosion and environmental testing equipment procurement
• Manage and maintain selected testing equipment through scheduled calibration and maintenance plan with support from vendors
• Maintain Ford Asia Pacific and Africa Lab testing request system (APA CLRS) and testing capability matrix.
• Develop and maintain external materials labs through correlation and training
• Support updating Ford Laboratory Test Methods with Global Materials Engineering Team
• Support lab supervisor on EHS and 5S to ensure safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Metallurgy and corrosion Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in laboratory. Testing experience on corrosion and environmental equipment is preferred.
• Good English skills in terms of reading and writing. Candidates with fluent spoken English skills are preferred.
• Candidates with technical understanding of international material testing standards (ISO, ASTM, SAE, etc.) are preferred
• The ability to lead lab equipment procurement and maintenance
• The ability to run all corrosion and environmental testing and provide technical support on failure analysis
• Can use Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel , Power point and project
• Self-motivated and quick to learn
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Strong ability to solve problems and work independently
• Willingness to work overtime as required to support urgent customer requests
