Commercial Controller-Guangzhou-for global European company
Location :Guangzhou
Responsibility:
1. Member of commercial unit leadership team supporting decision making processes by ensuring that all business decisions are supported by robust, timely financial analysis
2. As a member of the relevant multifunctional leadership team, lead the financial decision making process to maximize bottom line growth for the relevant business unit or key accounts by ensuring that all business and strategic decisions are supported by robust, timely financial analysis.
3. Through an appropriate balance of short, medium and long term financial planning and monitoring, drive the effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and advice
4. Propose potential ways to improve risk management on key economic exposures
5. Act as the finance lead in cross-functional teams, taking projects / initiatives from initial appraisal through implementation and ultimately monitoring performance on completion and secure appropriate investment approvals
6. Provide management with sound risk based analysis on potential impacts, implications and propose potential ways to mitigate risks on key economic and commercial exposures
Accountabilities
1. Support development and implementation of commercial unit (“CU”) strategy in accordance with Territory strategy.
2. Leads and drives a broad change agenda together with the respective sales, customer marketing or crop leadership team at responsible CU.
3. Through assessment of key market indicators, provide strategic foresight and recommend potential mitigation options to potential risks/exposures.
4. Review monthly reports & understand material deviations from strategy and forecasts and recommend remedial options.
5. Utilizing key agronomic and macro-economic indicators, deliver short, medium and long term financial planning and monitoring. Drive the effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and advice.
6. Through effective business partnership demonstrate how finance can add value in the CU to maximize bottom line growth.
7. Provides input into CU commercial team of any service related issue arising from business clients
8. Provides functional expertise in key strategic projects, including obtaining appropriate internal approvals.
9. Partnering with SBS to support the rolling-out and monitoring of compliance framework.
Capabilities
1. University graduate in Finance/Accounting; CPA/MBA is preferred
2. Familiar with SAP system and proficient in Excel.
3. Significant exposure and understanding of financial reporting and analysis. Ability to analyze a significant amount of information
4. Stong business acumen, good knowledge of the commerical(sales & marketing) activities and supply chain activities in China;
5. At least 5 years in commerical finance, financial analysis and planning or related areas, preferably with multinational companies;
6. Fluent in both Mandarin and English
7. Ability to meet strict deadlines and effective under pressure
8. High level of integrity and commitment
