Job Function / Purpose:

Position is responsible for the design review, fabrication and installation inspection, function test and commissioning of static equipment and piping aspects provide expertise for plant modification and improvement, as well as new project.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in project feasibility study, related technical support and preparation for bidding document and responsible for assigned project mechanical department
2. Support estimation and proposal activities; support the purchasing department for the sourcing of equipment.
3. Review and approve specifications and classifications for static equipment and piping, include vessels, drums, tanks, heat exchangers, filters, hand valves, gasket and insulations.
4. Cooperation with other discipline engineers include mechanical, instrument, process and CSA for the interface of equipment installation.
5. Lead the process for proposals review, classification, and approval for static equipment and piping aspects.
6. Lead the quality inspections and acceptance testing for static equipment and piping material.
7. Review and approval piping engineering design ensure safe and reliable production, as well as operability and maintenance accessibility.
8. Plan and supervise static equipment and piping installations, perform function test and inspection, obtain the pressure vessels and pressure piping registration.
9. Documentation for static equipment and piping installation include alignment, gasket and fasteners inspection, flushing, NDT and pressure/leakage test.
10. Review and approval vendor as built documentation according to project document system.
11. MTO and spare parts for static equipment and piping.
12. Implement the other tasks from project manager. Sharing the knowledge and experience with other engineers and colleagues keep a united and harmonious atmosphere in company.

REQUIREMENT

1. College or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. 5 + years experiences in a chemical manufacturing facility or engineering company.
3. Fluent in English with very good written and spoken skills, with good communication & presentation skills, Office projector & AutoCAD skill, and PDS.
4. Able to work in an international environment with strong capacity to work in team and solution oriented. Mechanical design knowledge and experience in the Chemical Industry will be an added advantage.
5. Able to manage and develop practical procedures within a production maintenance environment at a senior level.
6. Familiar with GB code for pressure vessel and piping fabrication and construction.
7. Team work and communication capability with reasonable personality.
