Objectives - External
According to the established corporate and / or company policies / procedures / practices and supervisor’s guidance, to plan, direct and manage engineering IT system and SAP modules analysis, setup, development and maintenance activities for all applications supporting the Engineering community in Asia Pacific.
Main Tasks - External
Conduct meetings with colleagues / engineering partners to determine Engineering & Maintenance IT related requirements based on new project priorities, project and system needs.
Identify and define current and future IT needs for ACT on managing engineering, cost estimation and project controlling of investment project, and for AP on managing Maintenance activities
Plan and participate development of global IT roadmap for Engineering & Maintenance related applications, solutions and system analysis functions required to create new applications programs or implement new solution.
Review and enhance existing regional Engineering & Maintenance related applications to ensure that they are aligned to changing business requirements
Close coordination and collaboration with BASF IS Unit in Asia Pacific and primary with the Greater China Information Management team based in Shanghai.
Develop and Implement IP procedure for engineering IT environment that includes home office, site office, 3rd party engineers office, project sites and sub-contractors where a part of project work is handled.
Review, Approve & Co-ordinate all local / regional / global Engineering & Maintenance IT application related change requests, ensuring that changes are in line with the regional / global application strategy and do not threaten the integrity of the existing regional / global solutions.
Requirements - External
Education:

1. Bachelor degree with major in IT/IS;
2. Master degree is preferable

Working Experience:
1. At least more than 8 years total work experiences;
2. At least more than 6 years work experiences in engineering IT/SAP;
3. Leadership experience is mandatory;
4. International experiences is preferable

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

Core skills:

1. Proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese (mandarin) skills is mandatory;
2. Good knowledge and experience in engineering IT tools or SAP;
3. Skilled and experience in relevant software/tools like, MS Office.

Job Related preferable skills:

1. Skilled in IT/IS management will be preferable;
2. Skilled in project management skills preferable;
3. Good negotiation skills will be preferable
