JOB OBJECTIVES:

1. Act as owner engineer with internal and external engineering teams during the execution of the new investment projects and solve problems in normal operation.

2. Provide basic project management, sometimes act as engineering manager, for project or part of the project.

3. Implement advanced technology/best practice to keep coating facility at the top level of BASF standards. Be interface connection to global coating technology team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Expertise and Best Practise

1. Provide technical expertise on coating facilities to local engineering teams for relevant investment projects at regional level.

2. Be active contact point between global technology team and country operation team, as well as share and implement best practice solution and adequate and efficient technologies within the region.

Investment Projects

1. Support and implement investment projects as "owner engineer", in exception cases, as “engineering manager”.

2. Support local team to prepare for investment project technical application submission for approval, on the fields of cost, schedule and technical solution.

3. Support local team to ensure that projects are implemented in a technically correct way and within schedule and budget.

4. Provide project management expertise to local team throughout the project life.

Cost optimisation

1. Implement total cost of ownership concept in investment projects.

Target measurements

1. Support maintenance team to build up the relevant maintenance concept and initiate KPIs for continuous improvement in the maintenance area.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical, Chemical or Automation Engineering

2. Working Experience: 5 years or above. More than 3 years of coatings related work and experience is a plus but not essential. Working experience in engineering company and manufacture site are preferred.

3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good English skills and computer skills. Good communication ability and interpersonal understanding; Familiar with Microsoft Project software
