Objectives:
To ensure delivery of BASF’s Industrial Hygiene (IH) related requirements and that all related national laws are met.

Main Tasks:
Corporate
· Lead and advise BASF country management in implementing country and BASF IH requirements. Ensure delivery.
· Develop annual goals/KPIs for country. Ensure delivery.
Check compliance
· Conduct IH Assessments
· Check delivery of site targets
Provide Expertise and Methods
· Provide specialist IH advice to country which includes workplace risk assessment, exposure assessment and recommending risk control measures.
· Develop country IH procedures, where necessary
Communication
· Explain impact of IH laws to country management
· Provide IH support to country during Incident/ crisis management such as chemical spills or leaks
· Discuss IH issues with Site Industrial Hygiene Focal Person, Regional IH and Country Physician
Produce country IH Management reports

Requirements:
Education: Degree Engineering or other Sciences + Postgraduate diploma or Certificate in IH or equivalent IH Professional Certification.
Working Experience: 6 or more years in IH after basic degree and 2 years in IH after postgraduate qualification.
Experience managing IH related projects including supervision of hygiene work by contractors and consultants is an advantage.
Technical and Professional Knowledge: Subject matter expert in IH
Good understanding of local IH requirements
Able to communicate fluently in Mandarin and English
